When we met, I knew.
You knew me and my needs and desires,
and together, for a few weeks
the world became a better place.

Free, my heart soared
I dared to dream
And I was happy.

Then from the frozen depths the dragon arose.
Breathing fire
the killer of hope
my world turning to ash.

I set you free to rescue me
to make me yours forever.
but the dragon proved to be too strong
and you turned away from me.

So now I return
to the cell inside myself
my tears quenching the dragons fire
and I wait.
