It was a lazy afternoon, warm and crisp was the air
Falling deeply, slowly, sweetly into slumber
Suddenly I found you there

I spied you from across the way, slow motion in a haze
Silence all around me, there you were
Plain as day

I just stood there flabbergast, frozen there in time
Wanting to cry out your name
Not being able to remember mine

I watched you from not far away, walk around this car
That was parked between you and I
I fought to move, scream or run, but frozen, so close, there you are,

My heart so long has wanted you, just for one more moment, one more time
I could have had that moment in my dream that day
I could have made you mine

However, I just stood there watching, while you just walked away
Fading into the silence
A million words, and nothing could I say

Silent, paralyzed, watching as you moved slowly away in time
When I awake my heart cries in silence for the vision of you
Somewhere other than closed inside my mind.
