Suspended
Between life and death
Today without tomorrow
Rope chaffing slightly
The smell of antiseptic all around
And knowing only silence
Till darkness falls.
The second before the drop
Endless
Frozen in time and space
Waiting for anything
A sound perhaps
Whispered words of solace
But none will come
When darkness falls.

Perfection
Every act is done
A life completed
Good or evil pushed aside
Forgiven by default
No consequence but this
As darkness falls.

Ashesh9over 9 years agothis Poem could be referring to a Hangman's execution or a Paratrooper droppin' into Enemy territory or an Olympic Diving competitor [ or as HoneyA has so aptly put it a Bungee jump ] : 5-ed .
