A land so rich in green;
a place that must be seen.

A land with medieval castles throughout the nation;
a place where knights in armor are but a sensation.

A land with sheep dotting the countryside;
a place where whitewashed cottages string the roadside.

A land with passing showers offering life;
a place where endless flowers ease the strife.

A land with people so warm and kind;
a place there I would love to find.

A land with tradition that is not lost;
a place where neighbors help no matter the cost.

A land with religion proudly flowing;
a place where town’s have church steeple’s showing.

A land with dance and music telling a story;
a place where harps are played for all their glory.

A land where I long to be;
a place called Ireland is for me.
