Come one, come all. We’re about to begin.
This ride’s guaranteed to leave you alone again.
Step right up and peek inside.
Discover where the other hides.
And then be prepared because nothing’s quite certain,
About what’s behind the enamel curtain.

One side is dark with too much, too real.
The opposite’s allure is its fantasy appeal.
But venture too far and lose all hope
Of that common ground where both can cope.
Remember though that nothing’s quite certain,
About what’s behind the enamel curtain.

There's reality grounded in concrete shackles,
And fantasy mauled by the predatory jackals.
Choose between a place secure with its tightening noose,
Or the empty escape for the lonely recluse.
Just don’t lose sight that nothing’s quite certain,
About what’s behind the enamel curtain.

But don’t judge too quickly about one or the other.
For briefly their passion may join them as lovers
Only to send them right back deeper inside
With everything revealed and nothing to hide.
They just forgot to recall that nothing is certain,
About what lies behind the enamel curtain.
