The End

Silence burning in my soul
Screams of madness tear a hole
Gaping rips inside my mind
That all your probing hands can’t find.

Ask your questions, take your time
I’ve a long way still to climb
I shield my eyes against the sun
Can’t shield my soul, what’s done is done.

I’m oozing blood from every pore
Just don’t want to care any more
My soul is ripped, my heart is torn
Emotions have been neatly shorn.

I broke away, I’m moving on
I’ve had enough, no more, you’ve won.
Take your fucking satisfaction
You’ve seen the last of my reaction.

I’ve had about enough of it
You just don’t seem to give a shit
It seems no matter what I try
You simply cannot meet my eye.

I wasn’t good enough for you
So now it’s over, now we’re through
I’m sick of trying, sick of this
If I’m still sane then it’s a near miss.

Get out, I’ll even help you pack
You keep my heart, can’t take that back
It isn’t working anyway:
You ripped it from my chest one day.

An easy lie to tell for you
Fucking me was fun to do
While you rehearsed those words on me
Mocking my naivety.

Just pick your clothes up off my floor
And push your keys under the door
Of all your shit I’ve had enough
Go find a man who’ll treat you rough.

But don’t come crying back to me
I’ve nothing left to give you see
You’ve left me dry, washed up and drained
So much I’ve lost, and nothing gained.
