The Epic of the Blueddha

Cameron was a 12-eyed blue alien who lived and worked in a sky-scraper in a big city on a small moon of the planet Xanadu. He was from a long of warriors, had lots of money and plenty of females and everything a Xanaduan was supposed to want.

But beneath's Cameron's blue skin was a blue heart and a blue mind, and through his blue eyes everything from gold coins to rainbows was a dreary shade of blue.

So one day Cameron got in his blue space-ship and flew off to a lonely island. Like the homo florensis of a different galaxy, he learned to make his own fires and hunted the tiny elephants the island teemed with. He swam in the ocean with a blue spear and became a hunter even the fiercest xarks feared.

Once, just for a lark, he ate the brown mushrooms that grew from the elephant's dung, and soon the palm trees were swirling and turned into wondrous spirits of many colors. The green ones taught him that he'd escaped a terrible life. The purple ones taught him philosophy and true civilization. The black ones chased him with horrible swords till he realized he could kill them with a tranquil thought. And the pink nymphs embraced him and taught him about sex and true love.

And so the next day, having attained "gan-luke-jan," he returned to his city and found his friends. He confronted them and amazed them with his powers. They stopped their wars, destroyed their g.m.o. crops, and turned their sky-scrapers into homes for the poor, and libraries for the scholars. The strongest wandered into the many forests and islands, where they built village xutopias and ate together with long spoons.

And for eons, throughout the realm of Xanadu, they built statues of Cameron the blue, more handsome than he'd ever been in life. Those who couldn't understand all his philosophy made him an all-powerful God, and everyone respectfully called him the Blueddha
