The Fallen Phoenix

byPVodogaz©

And he will fall back into the Ocean
The flames extinquish as each flame touches the water
A moving carapace that slides into the cold and dark waters
Naked he descends into the deaths, a man who has fed the flames
Now quenched by the hell of a past love gone sour
Into the darkness he descends, fallen.

No longer alight but reaching the crevices of the bottom
And they draw him in, shadows in the darkness
"Welcome Home" they sing
And the Phoenix has fallen, fell to the utter depths
Loneliness, despair, a mere shadow of himself
