The Firmament Laughsbytwelveoone©
Bab Al-Shaytan, Bab Al-Shaytan, Ahlibu!
Aloha to you too!
Oh my Beatrice, last night I saw the - Thee Cloud,
that fat lead manifestation of God, plumed
in stressed circus sky all wine puke and flame, flumed,
like some muttery fuck had blown up a clown
a fluttery raiment of debris drifts down.
How the firmament laughs, sputters from a shroud.
Oh my Beatrice, after remnants of the rain,
a vision came, a vision of where you are.
You laugh, but I saw a sole radiant star
encircled perfectly by seven luminous clouds,
and there on the border of my blue purview,
the silhouettes of two - evergreens turning black.
I thought of you and I; how absurd life is,
cursed the time before us, cursed the time that is,
the now - that we are apart; the vision fades,
the clouds drift covering the star, radiant star!
I thought of where you are, the miles between us,
I ache and just stare into blue empty air...
Then after I rolled from the hood of the car
my dull ache erased, replaced by sharper pain.
The firmament laughs at those that graze on a star.
as in ground
When will this fever break, it's hot in here, still
I got rewarded for digging the deepest hole
with a guilt framed reproduction (Gauguin I think)
of a picture of me with my tongue in your lap
on pink velvet, not your standard black - does wonders
for the decour in here. Flesh red lit turns orange,
blood orange, pink, a deeper pink - sure cure for the blues,
don't you think? Do you remember that song I sung
with my dumb tongue, The March of the Mercator Mappers
in delicate marshy tones. Beat babe, and I looked up
and saw an angel sing, with a pearl pile driving -
harmonizing so delightfully - ah ohh fffuck!
Now I'm here with the rest of the lawn jockeys -
the firmament laughs at the infirm, the nameless -
and I was just a joke, a silhouette of a shade.
And damn, I broke my nose.
