THE FOG OF METAPHYSICS/AND ALL THAT…

The fog of metaphysics, clearing up,
Reveals religious doctrines being all crap,
From Plato to Spinoza and to Kant,
No one can their dictums understand.

So, science remains, more as a hope,
And preferable to all heaven drop,
No truth exists apart from human need,
We might as well make out of it a creed.

But human need is different every time,
Again the metaphysics makes sublime,
It cannot take this life as its concern,
The fog of metaphysics will return.

I will be there, feeling evil joy,
Watching you trying each other to destroy,
Musician obscure, poet unknown,
With more than all your ways to be blown.

AND ALL THAT…

That's why I choose to write that "Summer Blast",
A common tale of human love and lust,
Between myself and a cute girl I met,
Down by the beach in weather hot and wet,

Just like our zodiac signs, taking hold,
And keeping out that fog, blinding and cold,
'till I could make out, her shape, her face,
'till she could make out my signs, to trace,

Our footsteps leading back to that single point,
Exploding, making love, smoking a joint,
That's why I choose to write that "Summer Blast",
The time standing still, then running fast.

Immortal how to be, our human need,
Or maybe an effect, smoking that weed,
For all we cared it did not matter what,
Music and verse, me and her, and all that…
