Insult is issued
Guantlets are tossed
One of Love, one of Lust
Reason is Lost

Dawn breaks
Weapons are chose
A mutual salute
Exchange of Blows

Handkerchief flutters
As steel rings
A crimson stain
A woman's scream

A Fool and a Swordsman
On the Hill above
To die or to live
For Lust or for Love

A parry, a thrust
A repoiste, a cut
The Fool has his love,
The Swordsman has, but,

To live for Lust
Or die for Love
The Fool falls low
Swordsman, Erect, Above
