The Gardener sweats all day and all night,
Never stopping to consider his labors.
Patiently breaking his back, in endless delight,
The Growing is what he truly savors.

I've never seen him my love, have you?
He runs about too fast to catch.
But I know he's there in the rain, and in the sunshine too,
And in the creak of the gate's rusty latch.

Tonight let's go and find the Gardener.
Remove your clothes, my love, and we'll take off to see
Him toiling away, endlessly, always harder.
Simply pull my body close and breathe into me.

loved it!

but I can't resist a garden poem anyway. I liked the whimsical nature and the elusiveness of the "gardener." I hope you and she have a grand time searching about.
