Yearly apparition floats by the broken door,
Hangs under the cracks, over the stains
And fades into the background
Having done absolutely nothing.

A warm breeze, a static second.
Too bad it’s just a trick of the mind.

*Poof* goes the magic moment.
Not even smoke remains,
Not even the smell

Of smoke lingering in the dry, stale air.

Not even the smell of the candle
Or the shirt that was worn when it all came back.

nice imagery. tells a story of something latent, i just wish i knew more about what that something is.

good but not incredible

nice imagery, good style, however, there is nothing for me to connect to besides the literary content. Emotionally void. Still liked it though,

Good!

I'm glad you activated the P.C. option. When I read this earlier it wasn't on. I like this poem, it has a nice, mysterious quality.

Well done
