I stand here day and night
Making sure you're all alright

Man, woman, young or old
Blistering heart or freezing cold.

Rain, sunshine, snow or hail
Protecting you, I will not fail!

Faithfull and true I stand guard
Looking out for what's dear to your heart.

Do we all look alike to you?
Is all you see my uniform blue?

Have you ever truely looked at me?
Seen the person providing your security?

Could you even recognice my face.
If you see me at any other place?

Or is it really just a blank mask to you?
Do you consider I might have feelings too?

Friendly and smiling, at times you make that hard.
Remember I got a name, I'm not just a guard.

Most folk see not the person, just the garb; as long as he fits in the scene, only the uniform stands out.
