Oh Gypsy Moth! Why do you hit my window?
For the faintest light makes your pillow.
I hear your cry for a resting place,
But still you find a bitter race.

Oh Gypsy Moth! Where art thou now?
I long to hear thy bitter sound!
For my loneliness is silently close,
And thy closeness to me is no longer known.
