The House

I opened the doors to my house
Frolicked in the playroom
Danced to the music

The joy turned to tears
So I opened the back rooms
Dark and silent

I shoved true love into the blackness
Locked the door
Threw away the key

Passion flowers floated down on my head
From true love's basket
I scrambled to find the key

It was rusted and bent from disuse
And broke in the lock

Now I am pounding on the door
