wiggling her fingers
wiggling her small toes
can she move more?

opening her eyes
opening her ears
can she sense more?

stopping
relaxing
letting her mind calm

taking it all in
waking in all this
bound, blinded, ears plugged

does she really feel
the light mattress
or is this just a dream?

it feels soft
it smells cool
her few senses say "reality"

but seeing only dark
but hearing only quiet
she can be sure of nothing

she waits
she lays
she falls back asleep

awakening again
arms free and legs free
eyes seeing, ears hearing

was it not real?
was it just a dream?
in the daylight she looks around

she sees him
he sees her
and he gives a knowing smile

he whispers only,
"it was real"
as he comes and holds her close

Welcome to Lit

With an interesting submit;

After a night like that

What is real and what is not

Becomes elusive...
