The Kiss

Gravel crunches 'neath our feet
Moon shines above
Lake laps a gentle beat
Frogs sing of love

Wind caresses leaf to leaf
A whisper on the breeze
Hands engulfed in darkness meet
Beneath the summer trees

A silent moment passes by
No breath escapes the lips
Waiting with your hand in mine
Anticipate the kiss
