Stone spires awkward, seek the darkening skies
Above the city of sacred souls seeking salvation
Vows spoken for God's love, saved by his craven eye
For the Lady's unborn child, not his creation
A seed planted some seventeen days hence
When the man from Bachu, with love's lust did fly
To charm the sequined Lady of Brukental Palace
Her magenta locks to shoulder, his lips did sigh
Altered the cobbled street, her heart once tranquil
With city sounds and smells of breads fresh baked
Forgotten now for his sordid gift in lust did swell
Leaving the Lady lost, lonely, so forsaken
The Lady, a mother to child most dear, like *Kieu
As her tears silently stain the stones of *Sibiu
*Lady, also known as Lady Kristal
*Kieu was the name of the heroin in the classic Vietnamese epic poem called The Tale of Kieu
*Sibiu is a city in Transylvania, Romania
