The Libertine

I dream of stealing innocence and youth,
An arsenal at my disposal, fresh.
Praise all that is perverse, cursed and uncouth
Hail wicked tools that lust for human flesh.
Seduction's naught, the basest of all follies.
True romance lies beyond the fragile skin.
I yearn for the refined and gruesome jollies
Of basking in the shrieks of deadly sin.
The daemon of desire gnaws my liver,
Hands itch to deconstruct, dissect and maim.
I love the way you whisper, dance and shiver,
Your merry gaze that renders suitors lame.
Oh flaxen maiden, grant just this one wish,
Assent to enter my distorted niche...
