            The Light of your Love

I stared into the blazing light of your love,
           And now I cannot see.

I touched the core of ecstasy within your tender embrace,
           And now I cannot feel.

I inhaled the scent of heaven from your fair skin,
           And now I cannot smell.

I listened to the song of paradise in your heart's beating,
           And now I cannot hear.

I tasted the promise of eternity on your sweet lips,
And now I can taste nothing else.

All my senses numbed, I feel no other's arms, or skin, or breath, nor lips,
Can feel no other love; save yours.
