The feel of his hand brushing our hair aside
His breath on our cheek as his lips seek ours
The power of the merest touch of his lips on ours
And the feeling when he holds you close.
The understanding when you aren’t perfect
The smile to brighten your darkest day
The patience when we are being difficult
The strength to believe in us even when we don’t.
The tender looks of sympathy when you have burned dinner
The note to tell you he is thinking of you
The flower to make you feel special
The passion to fire your nights.
The love of a man is special indeed
We would be lost without it
With the love of a man to help us
