And I'm proud to say I'm his wife
Everybody said
We would not make it
Our love would be a big mistake
And he would cause me
One hell of a heartache
But that was years ago
Oh how we proved them all wrong
For our love is still so strong
I knew it in my heart
And the first time our lips touched
That I would love him very much
And he would be
The love of my life
He has been there
Through all my happiness
And all my tears
And I know he will be
For many more years, for he is the love of my life.
