The night before. . .
we walked hand in hand on the beach,
we kissed like lovers in the middle of the street,
I began to wonder if fairy tales really could come true. . .

The morning after. . .
I empty the sand from my shoes,
wipe the stardust from my eyes,
and shake the vision of you from my mind.
