Near the end of the infinite hallway
Is my true love’s bedroom door
And the call within is drawing me
Across the scorching floor

The Truth is pounding in my veins
At the door I stand alone
In wonder of the other side
With a hunger never known

A mist of lust surrounds me
Irresistible surging tide
Then overwhelmed by burning thirst
It carries me inside

On a bed of silken linen
Lying peaceful, deep asleep
She gauges all my wanton thoughts
With skin so soft and sweet

I hear the awful voice of Truth
Swelling through my pride
I do my best to tempt its fate
But there’s nowhere can I hide

Then Truth begins an awesome taunt
Testing all my faith
That smell of sweetness from within
Is more than I can take

It’s then and there I realise
The nightmare that I’m in
My jagged teeth and razor claw
Just inches from her skin

Who is this Truth that hounds me
A demon of torment
Who leaves me sweating poised to pounce upon
An angel heaven sent

Awaken to a blinding flash
My heart is nearly burst
Now conscious of this dread dream state
Alone I fear the worst

Then falling through a soulless void
My mind's torn side to side
The Truth keeps calling out to me
“You’re living in a lie”

Sullenly I reach for those
Who keep the cruel at bay
I call for them with desperate words
“Truth plays with me” I say

For a moment there’s no answer
I’m lost and cannot hear
Then “Hold on dear man, don’t give up yet”
Soft words to soothe my fear

But Truth is still persistent
“What can I do”, I plea
How can I resist this awful mist
From taking hold of me

"Hold on, hold on," they call
"Hold on, with all your might"
"We’ll be there soon to stand with you"
"To take on Truth and fight"

Their words are a small comfort
There’s little I can do
Just wait for them to rescue me
And stand up to the Truth…
