He wasn’t sure what he wanted,
But he knew he wanted her
She offered him something,
He had never experienced before

She gave him something new
Something he had always wanted
But could never get from anyone else
But then he realised he had never
Wanted it from anyone else

They went places
Did things he had never done before,
Seen things he had never seen
Did everything with her

One day she stopped.
Stopped returning his calls
Not answering her door

He had offered her everything he could
How could he offer anymore?
Everything he offered
She took

Except, his love
That was the only thing she turned away
That’s what he wanted to give her most,
But he knew she would never accept it

In the end he just stopped trying for her
And moved on,
And gave The Offering to someone else
Someone who fully appreciated what he had to offer

Someone who could return the Offering
But not his Offering,
Her Offering

Really recognise this theme; been there one too many times myself.

Amazing....

I love this poem!

Probably because i can relate to it... but i suppose in a way we all can! I think it that maybe people relate because its quite realistic and i think written by someone who has either been in the situation or has had someone close to them in that place! Not a very nice place to be!

Nice work!

Sorry to ramble! lol
