The Old Folk's Song!

byUncle Pervey©

There's nothing worse than freezing, when you're old,
The chill seems to go, right to your bone.
Every time you stir, you feel you've caught cold,
And most of the time, you're there alone!

The only time you get out, is to go,
And keep a Physician's appointment.
If you're healthy one day, you want to crow,
Because you feel most of the time spent!

Each holliday you reach is a surprise,
You never figured you'd last that long.
Is it any wonder, you surmise,
That you should call this, "The Old Folk's Song!!"
