The only escape from life..is sleep

The night is my only saviour
My time amongst my peace
Away from all the doubting
hatred and scorn that will not seize.

I wish for the fall of darkness
When its shaddows clear my mind
Protects me in its dark embrace
Where no evil will ever find

But when I wake in daylight
and the sunlight blinds my eyes
I know that I am trapped again,
In false hope and lies

Then my darkness comes for me,
Takes me in its arms
Holds me in my sheltered sleep
As it loves, soothes and calms.
