The Park

Took the kids to the park one day.
All three were ready to play.
We played ball, ran and laughed.
To the swings, we all flew fast.
Skipping, and playing, having a blast.

  Oh, the tower high in the air.
  We knew we had to get up there.
  Giggling, climbing, higher we went.
  Getting to the top, we were all spent.

Sitting, conspiring, looking around.
Leaning over the side, seeing the ground.
We imagined water, and waves everywhere.
We were on a ship way out there.

  We were sailing the Seven Seas...
  Feeling the summer breeze.
  One by one I made them walk the plank.
  Alas, alas, my ship they sank...

"Man over board!" we all did cry.
Swimming, dunking, the day passed by.
Up in our tower high in the sky.
We all knew that we could fly.

  The flowers, and birds were all so great.
  We knew, we would come back again, another date.
  Sliding down was so much fun.
  We knew our day was almost done.

Monkey bars, and freeze tag, ending our day.
We would have to come back again to play.
Marching my lil crew back to the car.
Leaving, going to the ice cream bar...
