I took a different path today from the one that I've been on
I know not what lies ahead this way
Just that my old way was wrong
I'm tired of insanity and making the same mistakes
I vow here and now to find a new way
No matter what it takes
And yes I've got a lot of baggage
Yes, it's quite a load to bear
If I should drop some along the way
When it's gone I doubt I'll care
But, too, there's things of great importance
Goals that I want to reach
Matters of the heart and of the soul
Things then only life can teach
You see, it isn't always easy
To see what's right from wrong
Not till the crisis is over
But by then the moment's gone
