Today I walk alone,
not the way it was supposed to be.
Yesterday you were here,
loving, laughing, holding me.
All that I have left,
is the quiet of your memory.
Your love is gone.
Now I walk alone…
The wind bites at my neck,
in places once kissed by your passion.
Pieces of my heart whisk away,
Fallen...
like the leaves of autumn;
In a whirl wind of loneliness
longing to be whole again.
I close my eyes;
emptiness is all that remains.
You are gone... and with it,
your love has walked away.
Our dreams, once shared,
brilliant and in living color,
now fade into yesterday
absent of life...
no longer my lover
Love...
A peril of the heart,
the risk of loss, far from never.
Happiness...
The illusion; love will last forever.
Never to be torn apart,
forever to be tethered.
Tears...
of sorrowed moments,
stream the face of eternal hope.
Your love is gone...
Now I walk alone…
Now... I walk alone.
