What am I so scared of?
Things that go boo in the night
What am I so scared of?
Looking a fright
What am I so scared of?
Apotheosis by moonlight

Accepting the bolt - inspiration
My charred body - shed
Semele transcended
Is it possible?
Necessary
And Dionysus born
Of my charred crispy flesh
To be lauded
Embodied
Like Shelly's inexplicable ray of light
Presence, which,
Wouldn't ya know it,
Eludes me at this moment
The fear like a diaphragm
To the rays of Zeus

Perhaps, I ought to
Reclaim Delphi
Kick out Apollo
And his logical ways
Look to the goddess
With breasts like mine
And a womb

And as they come
With offerings
To worship
Be greedy and capricious,
Cause the pussy
Is mine.

Capricious you are!

I have to agree with the previous comment but leave it at that would not be fair IMO to the poem's other qualities- namely, the richness of the imagery, the energy, and the imagination which even if doesn't hold the poem together is indeeed very captivating.

Good

I really like the use of Greek myth that you use as illustration to make your power statement. It's an interesting blend of colloquial with classical that doesn't quite make it, in my opinion. That's my taste though. Thanks for sharing your poems.
