My body is aching just to be touched
Not for my beauty, not just for lust
Can they not see the person within
The real, true me –
My heart is aching, love me it cries
Can nobody see behind my disguise
Can they not see the person inside
The real, true me –
My feelings are empty need to be filled
Will nobody grasp the way that I feel
And fill my emptiness and see
The real, true me –
Don’t think me fickle or wanting, I’m not
I’m grateful for all the things that I’ve got
Just need to say it out loud sometimes
So I can see….the real, true me!
