The seasons turn
The world moves round
Poeple get born and die
But locked away in my world
I simply wonder why

Why come into this world,
If joy turns to pain
If we stand to lose all we ever gain

I felt love,
I knew love,
Then in my darkest hour I lost love

The colours went from my world
The warmth from the sun cooled down
The smiles I knew were a faint memory
My face wore but a frown

Then things hapened in my life
And I ached to find a friend
And by mistakes and mishaps
You brought my sorrow to an end

The world has turned,
cities have fallen
Rulers come and gone
But you returned into my life
And once more I can go on.

Mistakes made, lessons learned
Scars we carry now
But a love that has been earned
Though pain and tears,
I once more feel right now.

Memories shared of joy and pain,
of tears and of high fives
All of these are still alive
And reshaped both our lives

What we had, it never died
It burned inside us still
And if we talk and if we learn
I know it always will
