The sound of the road is music to the ears,
though she will gladly swallow the years.
The CB is alight with truckers chatter
but does that really seem to matter?

Going from one side of the U.S. to the other
can make the road seem like a mother.
She can be harsh, uncaring and unforgiving
her long black and white trail is aso a living.

A living that can be easy at times, or she'll
turn into a living fire-breathing, hell.
She has claimed many a life,
but she has also given rise to new life.
