'The Seagull'

Poor seagull lying there
While all the people stop and stare
You flew too low
And met your blow
Now begins your tale of wow

A kindly lady stopped for you
And moved you to a safer place
But I fear this will be in vain
For your wings are out of pace
But perhaps it is not too late for you

All the other seagulls circle and call
They were witness to your fall
Perhaps the blow has stunned you only
And a rest will see you right
I do hope that I am right

I file this under...

mindless beach poetry, one of my favorite things to

write. The last two lines got me; 2 rights can make

a wrong.
