For Self, Hand creates.
Poetry, art, miniature clocks,
glittering garments, comfort.
Accolades that enhance the Self.
Self likes recognition.
For Self, Soul creates purpose.
Honor, Courage, Empathy
gush out like a river
for a soldier to drown in.
Self feels lonely.
For Self, Heart creates Love.
Makes excuses to share
accolades and honor
with strangers.
But then, Self errs.
And in one blinding blow
all things corporeal and honorable vanish.
Lying down on cold stone
Self discovers that there is only Self-love.

tying up the concept in a neat circled bow.
The poet might consider removing the three remaining articles.
"The" stands out garishly to the eye,
and making the nouns plural,
might fit better and the "a"s would not be needed.
(Just a stylistic suggestion)
