From the ashes of your face
I brush away the whispers
And feathers down to replace
For too barren stay the sisters
They are the eyes that bore the pain
In the shadows they are hidden
And with my sighs I pray for rain
To be the tears forbidden
Something to carry through the gray
The life born of a shiver
And down to fullness where do lay
The lips that shall not quiver
For nothing flows beneath your flesh
No motion do you follow
And though your lips feign red and fresh
I see the sisters hollow
The rain did fall to meet your grace
To you an offered chill
And slowly rolled it down your face
But with no life did fill
I closed your eyes with fingers light
To let your end be true
And within the shadows dark as night
Let comfort come to you
