I never wandered down that hall before

and I won't wonder anymore,

I saw the truth hid behind lies

I heard the laughter muffle cries

I took the gauntlet in my hand

I took the challenge

you well planned

I saw the light and it was not day

I saw the game but refuse to play

and all the things you justified,

ripped past and blew it open wide

and all the pain and the suffering

are the scores that are yours

in the song you sing.

So a little bit evil and a little bit good

now that I know, it's understood

I saw the truth hid behind the lies

I heard the laughter muffle cries

you took the heart nestled in your hand

I took the bait

you well planned

I saw the light and it was not day

just in time I refused to play

and all the things you tried to do

all came back tenfold on you

and all the things you said you need

were driven by only selfish greed

and all the pain and the suffering

may be the scores that are yours

but they're the song I sing.
