The emptiness cannot be filled
by lovers that you hold,
and love is never born or killed
nor is it bought or sold.
Do not extend your empty cup
and trust your lover’s heart
has come along to fill it up,
or find its missing part.
Your lover is a friend who's eyes
reflect what you conceal.
The love that you allow to rise,
is all they can reveal.
So let your lover be that friend
And be a friend in kind.
Then let your open hearts commend
the source of love they find.
