Be still, Good Grace! Be still with me!
Or your resolve shall dissipate!
And once it's gone I'll surely be
Of mind to re-evaluate
The morals and the virtues of
My mother; But I must confess
My curiosity of love
Is something I cannot repress...

See Now, Good Grace?! See what you've done!
Forgotten that I'm of the Church
And Saved! But here my thoughts have run
Too wild, and no doubt in a search
For trouble! Grace, I'm begging you!
Please stay! For with you I entrust
My chastity! But... Something new...
I fever with edacious lust!
My Grace, you've left me all alone
And now I do not hesitate
To pierce the silence with a moan
As my hands attempt to sate
My pruriency; But now a fiend
Of this desire, I still ache
For the salacious, the obscene;
For any willing man to take
This purity I held so tight
And leave me breathless, wanting more...

Please bring me to your bed tonight - -
My angel wings are on the floor.

I think this has a lot more going for it than most dirty dittys that are posted in the name of erotic poetry. This is definitely no ditty, well written and amusing too

hmmmnnn

ok, of course i get this... let's hope she doesn't make it a habit (sorry!). i'm not finding myself engaging with it, though - it's a poem, granted, but doesn't touch me. not the subject matter - that's not exactly new but then what is in poetry - and i suppose the language is intended to place this in a certain time-period in history... your meter's fine, your format, rhyming...

it must be me. sorry :) i'm just not making connection with it at any level other than 'head'. a 4 from me because, as a reader, i feel left out of the party. :(
