THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE
BY
AC

As I come into your presence,
I look into your eyes,
And I see the love.
The kind of love that can only have been sent from above.
Throughout all the years,
You have shed many tears.
This is why I praise the Lord God
That you are still here.
You could have abandoned me
And left me all alone
Without a solid home
To fight against and struggle through this cruel world
On my own.
But you didn’t
So for me your light will forever shine.
If your heart should ever be broken,
Here you go
Mend your broken heart with mines.
You say your time is getting shorter
With every passing day.
Maybe I need to pay Father Time a visit
And steel some more time away.
I know he probably won’t like it,
But it’s a price I am willing to pay
Especially if it means you breathe one more breath
Or one more second today.
If after all my efforts, death still says it’s time to go.
There is just one thing I have to know.
I would ask the Lord God in Heaven
If everything is all right
And to shine some light in to my dark night.
I would plead with him even though I know that my ways as of late
Have been very trife.
To forgive me and my Mother for our sins
And present her with the gift of eternal life.
In order for me to live in peace,
This is the way it has to be.
And this is no problem
Because I know you made the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE for me.
