Standing in the middle,
of four stark. white walls,
a perfect square of indecision,
I ponder the consequences.

On one wall a door to reality,
of things known and safe,
yet at times it scares me so,
the familiarity....

The second wall leads to dreams,
of what might be if I dare to go,
the imperfect paths to the unknown,
but somehow beckoning me....

The third wall made up of emotions,
they can take me on a wild ride,
of happiness, anger, and sadness,
and take control over me....

The fourth wall leads to love,
the intensity so high at times,
it seems it will last forever,
or perhaps just a moment in time....
