I'm alone here, tonight, silence filling the room,
Darkness in the sky that mimics the darkness in my soul.
Staring into forever, I fear myself start to roll,
to the bottom of the abyss that is self doubt.

Given that tomorrow will come anyway,
What actions could I possibly take to stave off enternity?
The illusion that chance can fall my way?
No... I am here and that's where I'll remain.

So whether my eyes open tomorrow morning,
or remain shut to take me into unknown fields,
does not matter when the wheel of fate beckons.
For all will be crushed by it anyway.
