The Wild Goddess
Like the nymphs of centuries past,
I have spotted a woman of a different class,
Her beauty rivals that of any goddess,
That makes Men dumb and godless,
Her heart is like Noah’s ark,
That brightens in the most abysmal dark,
Her individualism is the perfect curse,
To make me give her the universe,
Oh Lord in Heaven, save me from this terrible fate,
For I fear I can never escape.
