The Writer

Life's pages aren't laid out
like a novel neatly written
we rather turn the page
and read life as we live it.

So love me for one chapter
or maybe just a verse
Our tale of love, however short
Shall be a work complete.

Seek not to read tomorrow
before today is writ
for if one tries to read ahead
it only spoils the ending.
