theres some form of substance
maybe its chemical or it may be mineral
but its a soul substance we all need
it is sweet and rich like bone marrow
and foaming like froth upon the lips
at the mouth of a complacent sea…
and its there for you and its there for me.
as the predator soul frenziedly feeds
upon this strange sustenance that
falls easily prey to such gluttonous greed
it sucks this nourishment down
the instinctively dilated gullet and
proceeds to swallow it all away…
to continue on to another day.
