How is it possible

To be filled with love
Yet overflowing with emptiness?

To be surrounded by affection
Yet consumed by loneliness?

To be deliriously happy
Yet cry out in sorrow?

How is it possible

To find solace
Yet be afraid?

To be healed from wounds
Yet crippled with pain?

To be made whole
Yet broken and fragmented?

How is it possible

To feel comfort
Yet lose hope?

To experience passion
Yet still be numb?

To burst with joy
Yet ache with longing?

How is it possible

To be listened to
Yet not be heard?

To be wanted
Yet feel unnecessary?

To have met your match
Yet remain unmatched?

These are the things I wonder.
