The butterflies
The 'do we, don't we?' silent cries
Don't worry my friend, don't think too much
For this will pass
The awkward move
That first caress
The way your heart beats in your chest
Don't fret, my friend, don't hide your head
This will pass
The passioned kiss
The roaming hands
the squeezing grasp
The lying tongue
Beware my love, don't move too fast
For this will pass
The longing glance
The loving look
The breathless sigh
The heavy heart
Take care my love, don't hold too close
For this shall pass
The reckless words
The heartfelt lies
The start of love
The souls it ties
Don't trust my love, in time again
These things will pass
The routine chores
The nagging words
The vicious truths
Just meant to hurt
Don't worry dear, don't let them in
For these will pass
The screaming fights
The nights awake
The days alone
The love that's faked
Take comfort dear, for like all things
These soon shall pass
The pretty girl
Across the room
Her tempting gaze
Her soft perfume
Just let it be, don't get involved
For this will pass
And when it's over
When you're alone
Don't dwell too much
On past that's gone
Remember this, tho now it hurts....
This too shall pass
reading your new poem, summer of '99, I went to your page and read your others. This is good too. A bit of advice, in any poem that you want to be taken seriously, it is better to not abbreviate words like though as you did with "tho".
It just takes away from the quality. It is only a suggestion and I only made it because I see an emerging poetic talent in you and people helped me when I first came here and little things like that can kill an otherwise excellent piece of work.
Keep up the good work!

What do the letters at the end of your comment mean by the way? I've wondered for a while ...
