Salty oceans pool in ringing ears from leaking eyes.
Words of no eaten by a pirate mouth,
Choked back by a lying tongue.
Clawing fingers pinned by wrists held in iron hands.
A greedy cock spears like burning sunshine into midnight folds.
Uninvited tormentor stealing the secret of the sacred velvet.
Weeping orchid spills blood tears.
Sanctuary in the sky
Soul dives deep into the stars
Separate
From this abomination, violation, annihilation.
Remains intact.
This craven act a taint on flesh and memory only.
Brought out of the ether by a breathing reminder in the form of him,
The catalyst for innocence defeat.
So young, so careless she was. I was.
Bust I am still here.
A woman standing, a girl no more.
Memory flows, ebbs and fades away with the purging.
And still I stand.
Whole.

I read it over,

four times and each time I fell deeper and deeper into the powerful depths of the poem. A truly remarkable choice of words that entice the mind and I'm sure they will linger with me all day long. Exceptionally well done and hardly worth mentioning what might be a tiny error. (bust)
